While the cause of his death has not been disclosed, it is worth mentioning that last June, a GoFundMe page was launched to support Brown’s battle against cancer. The initiative aimed to raise funds for his medical expenses, reflecting the love and support he received from the community.

Brown’s impact on the Detroit music scene can be traced back to his involvement in the pioneering DJ collective called Direct Drive. Established in the late ’70s, this influential crew played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s electronic music community. They inspired the launch of another iconic group known as Deep Space, which included Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May, and Eddie Fowlkes.
