Pet Shop Boys announce ‘Nonetheless’ album, share first single


The LP marks the 40th anniversary of their first single, ‘West End Girls.’

Legendary music duo Pet Shop Boys recently announced their upcoming new studio album entitled ‘Nonetheless.’ Scheduled for release on April 26th, 2024 the album coincides with the 40th anniversary of their debut single, ‘West End Girls.’

Produced in collaboration with James Ford of Simian Mobile Disco, known for his work with artists like Blur and Depeche Mode, ‘Nonetheless’ promises to be a remarkable addition to the duo’s discography.

The leading song of the album, ‘Loneliness,’ has already been released along with a music video. Fans have the choice to buy the digital version before the CD single is released on February 16th.

Recorded and mixed in London, the album features ten captivating tracks that showcase Pet Shop Boys’ signature blend of dance-oriented tunes and introspective ballads. Each track contributes to the album’s overarching narrative and evokes a range of emotions.

Expressing their anticipation for the album’s release, Pet Shop Boys stated, “We are thrilled to unveil this new album, which represents our current artistic direction. Reflective and introspective, the music encapsulates a unique fusion of styles. In addition to the album release, Pet Shop Boys will perform five special live shows at London’s Royal Opera House from July 23rd to 27th, 2024.
